Entrepreneur Premium Residency
Founders with a backed or accredited venture.
Designed for startup founders with recognised funding or an accredited incubator relationship. Documentation of the venture matters more than personal wealth.
Special Talent Premium Residency
Senior specialists in priority sectors.
For health, science, technology, culture and executive talent with a verifiable record. Credentials, employment history and sector demand drive the assessment.
Real Estate Owner Premium Residency
Owners of qualifying Saudi property.
Granted against ownership of eligible, unmortgaged residential property, and valid while the ownership holds.
Gifted Talent Premium Residency
Exceptional individuals nominated on merit.
A narrow, nomination-led route for people whose contribution to the Kingdom is judged exceptional.

What Premium Residency actually gives you
Beyond the headline, the practical value is autonomy: your status stops depending on someone else's company, and your family's stability stops depending on your job.

Premium Residency is a residency status, not citizenship, and it does not grant Saudi nationality or a Saudi passport.
What you'll need to prove
Requirements vary by category, but almost every file rests on the same six pillars. Get these clean before you apply and the process is short.
Age and identity
Applicants are generally 21 or over and hold a valid passport with sufficient remaining validity.
Clean record
A police clearance certificate showing no criminal record, from your country of residence and any country you have lived in recently.
Medical fitness
A medical report confirming freedom from communicable disease, issued by an approved provider.
Proof of means
Evidence of financial solvency — bank statements, audited accounts, or investment documentation, depending on the category.
Category evidence
Investment, property title, funding letters, employment contracts or credentials, matched precisely to the route you apply under.
Legal status if already inside
If you are already in the Kingdom, your current visa or iqama status must be valid and in order at the point of application.
How the application really runs
On paper it's a portal submission. In practice it's a documentation exercise, and the file that arrives complete moves fastest.

Match the category to reality

Assemble and legalise documents
Passport, police clearance, medical report, financial evidence and category proof. Foreign documents usually need attestation and certified Arabic translation; this is where most timelines slip.

Submit through the Premium Residency Center
The application is filed on the official portal with your documents uploaded against the chosen category.

Screening and security review
Background, medical and financial checks run in parallel. Expect requests for clarification — answering them quickly is the single biggest lever on speed.

Approval and settlement of fees
On approval you settle the applicable government fees for your category and confirm your acceptance.

Issuance and biometrics
Your Premium Residency card is issued, biometrics captured, and your record activated in the national systems.

Dependants and day-to-day setup
Family residency, bank accounts, driving licence conversion and utilities — the unglamorous part of actually living here, which we handle alongside you.
Where applications lose time
None of these are hard problems. They're just expensive to discover late.
Applying under the wrong category
An investor file submitted under a talent route — or vice versa — usually comes back for rework. Choose the route your evidence already supports.
Underestimating attestation
Degree certificates, police clearances and company documents typically need legalisation and certified translation. Start this before anything else.
Assuming residency replaces a licence
Premium Residency lets you own and operate a business, but commercial activity still needs the right licence and registration behind it.
Treating banking as an afterthought
Personal and corporate account opening runs on its own timeline and its own document set. Sequence it early, not after arrival.
